The 9th Conference for Research in Diaconia and Christian Social Practice (ReDi) on 31 May to 2 June 2023 is approaching. The theme of the conference is Contested spaces of diaconia. Seeking justice, safety and well-being. More information can be found here. 

 

The conference will take place at VID Specialized University in Oslo. Digital participation in keynote lectures, paper sessions and panels is possible. On site participants will make use of Oslo to explore the conference theme. Please consider to submit an abstract for a paper.

Submissions to present papers on the conference themes are welcome. The papers should relate to one of the seven main themes as the paper sessions will be organised according to them. In addition, an Open Space session will be offered where other papers can be presented. The deadline for submission of abstracts (max 200 words) is the 31 January 2023. The abstract should be sent to redi@vid.no. A response as to whether papers are accepted is given by 15 February 2023.

An additional reminder that the Anders Bäckström Prize for an excellent master thesis in the field of diaconal studies, welfare and religion has been reopened. The new deadline is 28 February 2023. All master theses completed in 2018 and later are welcome!
